The first blog I always have to read, as soon as I go on the internet, my first thought is always, see if ‘Smashing Magazine’ have any new posts. Smashing Magazine is a blog that has tutorials, tips, showcases and best of competitions. There are plenty of things on there to keep you going for months.
CSS Globe is another blog that I must visit daily, with its great articles about CSS and other web design related posts, it is one of the best CSS blogs in the world. CSS Globe also has ‘community news’, this is where anybody can submit a post to them, and once approved the article is then linked to the post you submitted.
Noupe is a blog that shows off great articles about pretty much anything web design/development related, Noupe also serves like a community, where visitors can post articles and tutorials. This concept is ran almost identically to the CSS globe community, where posters need acceptance before posts are made live.
ProBlogger is thebiggest blog that discusses blogging, with a huge 51,000 + subscribers to the website, you can see why it is so popular, with great help and information about anything blogging wise it is definately number one choice.
As you can see Veerle’s blog has an absolutely beautiful design, but that isn’t the only good thing about this blog, with the blog administrator being a graphic & web designer, there is plenty of different posts varying from each.
Net Tuts is a tutorial website designed for webdesigners, within these tutorials they show you techniques to improve and gain experience in anything webdesign related. Net Tuts pays people to post on the website, meaning you get many top professionals guest speaking on it.
Blog.Spoon Graphics is a blog created by Chris Spooner a UK based web/graphic designer. This blog shows off his knowledge in Photoshop/Illustrator tutorials, Vector resources and anything graphic design.

Freelance Folder is a blog dedicated to helping freelancers, whether that is for blogging, writer, publisher, designer or artist, then this website is for you, as there a numerous articles to help and guide you when going freelance.
Kailoon was one of the first blogs I got into when I started blogging, and one I soon subscribed to. With its great posts about HTML/CSS, Photoshop and Illustrator I find it a great resource to visit. Kailoon also creates some of the best free wordpress themes that are about on the market.
Web Designer Wall is designed and maintained by Nick La, who loves to share ideas and design techniques to the 16,000 + subscribers to the website. Nick La has been very successful, with this blog being one of his amazing pieces of work. The design for this blog is simply breathtaking.
Another large blog talking about blogging techniques. From this website I have learnt a lot about growing my blog. Alex Cristache has been in the web design/development industry for many years, 9 in total. So he is such a high regarded professional.

The Melvin Blog is only a newly created blog, but is definately not a bad thing, with the blog helping me on numerous times. Melvin Dichoso from the Philippines knows an awful lot for a 18 year old. And with me being the same age, I can’t help but admire his knowledge. Definately check out this blog.
This list was only intended to include a small number of my favourite blogs, but narrowing it down to just these 16 blogs was hard enough.
